Caroline Azer was crowned Miss California Volunteer on July 10, 2021 in Clovis, California. She is the Golden State’s inaugural titleholder who  competed for the title of the first Miss Volunteer America in May.

Formerly Miss San Diego County Volunteer, she is currently an undergraduate student at the University of San Diego, pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in behavioral neuroscience with minors in biomedical ethics and chemistry. She serves as President of the University of San Diego’s Medical Brigade which has allowed her to administer healthcare to underserved populations in Panama, Honduras and Greece. She is also a member of Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity and Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. After graduation, Caroline plans to pursue a career in the medical field. Caroline stole hearts during the Miss California Volunteer competition with her mesmerizing talent of speed painting. She is a captivating public speaker and a passionate advocate for health and wellness.

In addition to the title of Miss California Volunteer, Caroline won a $10,000 college scholarship.During her year of service, she will work to destigmatize mental health and educate Californians on how to become physically, emotionally, and spiritually healthier. She will also serve as an ambassador for Central Valley growers and processors, increasing public awareness of the vital role agriculture plays in our state and nation.
