What inspired you to first become involved in your S.E.R.V.E. Initiative?
My fascination with dentistry and my dedication to helping others inspired me to create my S.E.R.V.E. Initiative, Healthy and Confident Smiles. It’s dedicated to promoting the connection between oral health and self-confidence, a link I witnessed firsthand both as a dance instructor and as a dental assistant. Whether it was watching a dancer light up after perfecting a routine or seeing a patient smile after treatment, I realized that confidence often begins with a genuine smile. Noticing how little awareness there was about this connection, I set out to bridge that gap through education and outreach. By raising awareness on the importance of oral health and its impact on overall well-being, I’ve reached people of all ages across diverse communities. My mission is to make dental care and resources accessible to everyone, especially individuals with special needs, veterans, low-income families, the elderly, and those experiencing homelessness- because every person deserves a smile they can be proud of.
