What inspired you to first become involved in your S.E.R.V.E. Initiative?
I joined a campaign to save a public library, which exposed me to the need for accessible educational resources. I started Activate Reading to provide books to children in shelters, especially foster youth, 75% of whom read below grade level and fewer than 3% graduate college. Every kit I deliver is a step toward equity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
